The view of the sea from our balcony each day, watching beautiful sunsets, made to order breakfast served on the lanai at the time we choose, swimming in the pool below! The staff bent over backwards for us!! Villa Lukas was our dream location!

We spent a week at Villa Lukas in July and it was perfect. The view from the balcony was superb and the balcony itself was completely private. Breakfast was tasty and the staff friendly and helpfull, couldn’t ask for a better stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and Imeroviglion. The town is peaceful and quiet, and

the view from the balcony of Villa Lukas is breathtaking beautiful, especially the sunset! The host, Babis, is a very kind, polite and friendly man. He gave us many suggestion on the transportation and where to eat, where to visit…etc. If we ever have the chance to visit Santorini again, we’ll definitely choose Villa Lukas. It’s also our pleasure to recommend the hotel to all of our friends.

Last June, we visited one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Santorini.

We chose from the web our stay at Villa Lukas for one week. We have no words to say about this small property. The Villa Lukas believe to be the number one on the island of Santorini. It is an ornament hanging on the highest point of the island and the rock of the caldera that frankly breathtaking. The view is incredible. The studios are big with traditional architecture. From a lovely girl becomes daily maid service and very special. We sit long hours on our balcony looking at the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, the volcano across and just in front of us the amazing caldera. In the afternoon we enjoyed the sunset, something we have not seen anywhere.

Mr. Lukas was a very good host . He did not know English well, but came every morning on our balcony and with this wide smile told us: Good morning my dears, you are very well? Maybe do you want something? The same scene was repeated and evening. Always with that special smile to tell us of the warm goodnight. We confess that we have traveled to many places in different countries, but such a man as Mr. Lukas we have not ever come across.

Imagine when we were leaving embraced us and kissed. Honestly this moved us so much that we cried. The only certainty, but also the promise we were crowned was, we will return soon again in the beautiful Santorini and of course we will be staying at Villa Loukas. Thank you very much for everything dear Mr Lukas! We will your always remember…

Мы останавливались в вилле Лукас течение 7 ночей в июле. We spent 1 week this summer (June-July) at Villa Lukas at Imerovigli, in the island of Santorini. We picked the place literally at random after we got allured from the pictures we saw in a travel magazine and the hotel’s web site. Immediately after, we called the hotel to make a reservation and we surprisingly found out that the owners Mr. Lukas and Mrs Popi were extremely nice and professional people, a rare event I believe for family owned businesses in Greece. The reservation details were finalized very smoothly as well; I received an email acknowledgment as soon as I sent the 2-day down payment.

Before our arrival at the hotel, we were worried about what we were going to get there. Santorini is primarily famous of the caldera view as opposed to its beaches, so a room with a great view to the caldera is a must in this island. Our experience so far with hotels looking great on the internet was not very encouraging, but this uncomfortable feeling fortunately went away as soon as we set our feet on the hotel. The access to the hotel was very easy. It is located at the top of the hill, so it is only few steps from the village road and across from a mini market, but very quiet. The room was large enough for 2 people, very clean and nicely decorated with a full kitchen bar, dining table and a sofa. However, the best asset of the room was the terrace in front of it with the magnificent view to the Caldera. At this terrace we spent hours every day enjoying this view, over breakfast or afternoon coffee and came back with over 400 photos taken. There are no appropriate words to describe the view from our room. As matter of fact, the real view is at least 10 times better than the one showed at the web site pictures. Overall, we found “Villa Lukas” to be a great place that made us have an unforgettable vacation week in Santorini. The pictures we took from there constitute the main theme show in our digital frame back home. The place is not the typical 5-star glamorous hotel you could find in a place like Santorini or Mykonos, in the sense that there is no pool, Jacuzzi, or butler service, but we were not interested in these things in the first place. If you are looking for a nice and neat place with great view at a very reasonable price, I believe that Villa Lukas ranks at the top among all other places you can find (and saw) in Santorini.Closing, I should also mention another nice impression we got from the place. Mr. Lukas was kind enough to provide us with all “inside info” regarding the best places for dining or finding our way in the island. In this way we had the opportunity to try traditional recipes at nice places all over the island, thus avoiding the mainstream and expensive touristic restaurants that you see advertised on every tourist guide available.We left Santorini with a sorrow feeling but with the hope that we will visit the island again soon – even for a long weekend – and to this effect, we count on Villa Lukas so that we will not strain our budget. In Santorini (14 May to 19 May, 2013, wow!!!) Villa Lukas is fantastic, the host Mr Lukas were a wonderful man, friendly and helpful!! The studios were spotless and really very comfortable – the view from our balcony must be one of the best on the island!! This must be the best value for money in Santorini! I will do my best to visit again – hope they aren’t too fully booked though, as I am sure they are going to become one of the most popular places to stay!! We enjoyed the month of May 2011 our honeymoon trip to Santorini. We stayed one week. We stayed at Villa Lukas in Imerovigli. This was great for our experience. The view was perfect and the room too clean. I have no words to say! The sunset from our balcony was one magic! The Mr. Lukas is very humorist and he was always there for anything we wanted. Great place with amazing views” VILLA LUKAS

We stayed the villa lukas for 9 nights in one superior studio. All rooms has the caldera ( water) view. Comfortable room with a nice bed and a sofa . Very clean. My room has a small kitchenette with 2 burners, small fridge and table for two. Hair drier included. Free WIFI. Out side of my room I have a seating area with another small table. (great for breakfast) and two chairs to sunbathe, read or to wait for the wonderful amazing beautiful sunset. This is an small family operated hotel. The Imerovigli is located between Fira and Ia. Close enough from Fira to enjoy the shopping and the night life but far enough to rest peacefully. We walked to Fira few times in the morning for breakfast. Near the villa lukas has good restaurants, taverns and super markets. What to say about the owner Mr. Lucas? Always willing to assist us with much humor! Iordavov Todorova From Russia!

The Villa Lukas is a picture postcard, breathtaking view from our balcony over the Caldera. Every afternoon we stuck in our chairs to enjoy this wonderful sunset. The our studio we was tastefully furnished, comfortable and spacious. We stayed for 7 days. Enjoyed being out of Thira, which was only a 20minute walk by the coastal path – glorious views, looking at the different volcanic rocks. The bus stop was close by, as were a number of tavernas. The next of our holiday in Greece, will visit the island of Santorini and will stay again at Villa Lukas. Together with our friends. Endry from England.

We stayed for 5 nights in early June,2011 and were absolutely thrilled. It was in a very quiet spot but close to go anywhere. There is a free parking area a few steps away from the entrance of Villa Lukas and a convenient minimarket across the street. The view from our terrace was magnificent. The apartment was beautiful, very clean and with a fully equipped kitchen. Mr. Lukas was very helpful and friendly.

Villa Lukas, very cute. Astounding views of the caldera. Stay with absolute quiet. The room very clean and comfortable. The rooms are tastefully decorated in traditional Cycladic style and offer a balcony with chairs, umbrellas and incredibly beautiful wonderful views of the Caldera. Unfortunately the hotel has not a breakfast, the only downside to this little gem on the beautiful island of Santorini. Ntrakin from southern Africa

When we plan our vacations we usually hope to spend some time in a special place with hospitable people and without surpassing our budget. Well, this place far exceeded our expectations with an absolutely breathtaking view, a really special architecture, a cozy environment and all at most reasonable prices. Words can not describe (not even in Greek) the magic and mystery of our time on Santorini Island, thanks to the extraordinary accommodations and ambiance of Villa Lukas. We were so moved by our first visit, we returned two years later and booked the same rooms!

The only word that comes to mind when we think of Villa Lukas, and we think about our days there all of the time, is “Perfection”! Everything about the Villa is as close to perfection as one can experience on earth: peace and tranquility, privacy, cleanliness, respectful yet warm and friendly hosts (including the housekeeper), a stunning view, breathtaking sunsets from your semiprivate balcony, romance, comfortable and tasteful rooms and more. When you return to the Villa following a wonderful but tiring day experiencing the sights and sounds of Santorini, you feel like you are home (only better)

Whatever one’s mental picture of Santorini may be, Villa Lukas makes it “picture perfect”!

We celebrated our 10th anniversary there and can’t wait to go back. We want to share the secret with all of our friends…and have already.

We stayed at Villa Lukas in early July for our honeymoon to Greece. The service was excellent. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We spent as much time staring out into the caldera as we did doing anything else. The location is also superb it is right off the walking path from Fira to Oia. A short and beautiful walk one way to Firostefani, or a bit beyond to Fira. Restaurants – cafes etc all along the way. Or in the other direction you can try a hike to Skaros rock, or for the adventurous it will take you all the way to Oia. The sunsets in Imerovigli are as breathtaking as anywhere on the island, and of course if you live in Villa Lukas. Imerovigli will always be our heaven on earth, and is truly unforgettable. Villa Lucas on the island of Santorini is a gem of a retreat from the rat race. I spent 14 days at this charming friendly, family run villa, and could have stayed forever. Being well taken care of and waking up to such breathtaking view was all I needed to shake away the stresses of life. The family Lucas are such wonderful friendly warm people that I hope to be with them again next year.

Villa Lukas and it was the most amazing vacation we ever had. Each year we visit Greece to see family but this was our first trip to Santorini. We rented the room via the internet and when we arrived it was everything they said and more. The room was beautiful and spotless, decorated in true Greek fashion. The view was breath taking and the hospitality of Popi and Lukas were the best. This place is close to everything and Popi and Lukas were alway helpful on suggesting were to go and what to see. We are planning another trip to Santorini and there is no other place that we would stay but here!

It was our most wonderful holiday on Santorini island where we had a wonderful week’s break last year! I booked the accommodation direct with Villa Lukas through internet. Remembering that the price was so reasonable, you would be hard pressed to find anywhere better. The room was quite comfortable and really amazing with a so nice decoration. It was also very clean, had amazing views from the verandas, and some very nice touches of colour besides the traditional whitewash cube look (without being over the top). The owner, Poppy and her family couldn’t do more for us, they were so friendly, and the daily cleaner always left the place gleaming! As other people have said, Thira/Im’igli & Ia can be awkward due to the clifftop location and subsequent steeply stepped access to accommodation…however Villa Lukas is at the top, so you’re only a few steps away from the front gate.

All in all we had a great time, and would highly recommend Villa Lukas for a place to stay.

We spent five wonderful days at Villa Lukas–spectacular view, friendly and helpful staff especially Mrs. Popi. They made our stay that much more enjoyable. Charming rooms with traditional furnitures and gorgeous balconies where we could relax during our stay. Great location close to Fira. We’ll be back!
